CHAPTER 1 – An Introduction to Today’s Root Problem

“And the Lord God [Jehovah] took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden, to dress it and to keep it.” Genesis 2:15

God could not put Mind into matter nor infinite Spirit into finite form to dress it and keep it, — to make it beautiful or to cause it to live and grow. A SYMBOL BEHIND A KEYHOLE

            On a recent episode (December 5, 2020) of Ancient Aliens on the HISTORY Channel, the topic was the keyhole.  They mentioned that the keyhole symbol has been used throughout history and they showed examples of buildings, little islands, wells, that have the shape of a keyhole.  Well, even the cul-de-sac street that I live on has the shape of a keyhole and I am sure nothing symbolic was meant by it.  One shape they showed was that of a pyramid with a circle on top of it.  I feel that this could be symbolic of a person.  However, they explained that it was the sun (circle) representing heaven and a pyramid (triangle) representing earth, and the two being connected was heaven and earth as one.  But why not go even further with their analogy and say that the circle represents the head while the triangle represents the body – or – divine Mind (God and Christ) of the circle and the triangle (man) are united as One Being.  We also have mentioned in the BIBLE, by Paul, that the body is the wife and the head is the husband. 

            Not all keyhole shapes have a pyramid shape, but a rectangular shape to it (see the diagram below).

            The following is a theory of mine, I have no proof of my theory, it is just what I feel has really been going on in today’s world.

“The Woman”

            “The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.”  “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.” (Matthew 13:33, 35)

            In Bliss Knapp’s book Destiny of The Mother Church he tells us about how the parable of the woman, told to us by Jesus, was kept secret from the foundation of the world, that it “implies that she was no ordinary woman and that her mission must be unique” (Destiny, p. 185).  His twelfth chapter (that seems to be in synch with Revelation’s twelfth chapter) is about Mary Baker Eddy and how she fulfilled Bible prophecy.  And this is the reason why the Board of Directors did not want his book to be read by Christian Scientists in the late 1940’s and why they really did not want to publish it in the early 1990’s.

Starflower of Boston – Part 1

            Helen Wright’s book STAR OF BOSTON The Life of Mary Baker Eddy has three sections to it.  Part I is about Mary Baker Eddy fulfilling Isaiah 54, Part II is Atonement and Eucharist: the story of the Second Coming of the Christ as Revelation, and Part III is about Christ and Christmas, an illustrated poem by Mary Baker Eddy.  And finally there is a Conclusion.
            What I would like to talk to you about is Part III of her book.  Helen uses quote excerpts from the writings of Alice Orgain and a manuscript attributed (but never confirmed) to Judge Septimus J. Hanna.  When she quotes from this manuscript she places a question mark after Hanna’s name.  She also gives us some ideas on the topic by John Pawlik, someone she knew.  I have studied Christ and Christmas for years, and am not sure that I agree with everything that Alice Orgain writes upon the topic, but I am open to changing my mind.  And I think that I have done so on Illustration 8 – TREATING THE SICK.  It is explained in Helen’s book that every illustration points to a particular time in Mary Baker Eddy’s life, which is probably so, and so I will try and bring out that point to you, as I do not know if I have succeeded in my past posts on the topic in this respect (or on this topic).  Part 1 is about how Christ and Christmas correlates with the symbols in The First Church of Christ Scientist in Boston.  Parts 2 and 3 have to do with Sharon’s Rose Matrix and its alignment with WINDOW OF THE OPEN BOOK, a Rose Window on the South side of the little edifice in Boston.
            Helen did not include the material written by Doris Grekel (from one of her biographies on Mary Baker Eddy and in some of her pamphlets she used to publish).  This could be because Helen did not have room for everything out there written on Christ and Christmas, for her book is only 257 pages long and Alice Orgain’s two books are WAY bigger!
            I do not know John Pawlik, so I will leave him out of my discussion, because what I want to explain, at this point, is the big difference between the Orgain, Hanna (?), and Grekel ideas on Christ and Christmas.

What is a MOB?

            Recently the mainstream (Liberal) Media have tried to erase the word “mob” when used to describe leftist groups who are harassing Republicans or people they just plain do not like.  One example: opinion news commentator Tucker Carlson.  Just this week a Leftist group gathered around his house.  His wife was the only one home, he was at work (which I bet they knew), and fortunately their children were not at home.  Mrs. Carlson did not know what was going on but she did call 911 for help.  These people (Antifa) were yelling out and trying to break down the front door.  These people were not protesters, as they pretend to be or call themselves, no, they were vandals and they were also a MOB!
            Let me go to the dictionary (Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary) to tell you what the word “mob” actually means – and let us see if the mainstream (Liberal-Socialist) Media actually is correct in trying to get people to stop using the word “mob”.  Should they really be shushing their guests?  Do not their guests have the “freedom of speech”?

            The following excerpt is from the Red Book, compiled by Richard Oaks.  I have made a few changes to the writing.  [All of my comments will be in these types of brackets.]

                                                CHRISTMAS

            Isaiah 9:5 – “For unto us a child is born…”

            Over eighteen centuries ago, the advent of a babe stamped a new impress on history.
            Little dreamed the Emperor, enthroned in his gorgeous palace upon the Capitoline Hill, that a babe slumbering in a manger in the obscure hamlet of Bethlehem, a remote province of Assyria, was to establish an empire before which the power of the Caesars must dwindle into significance.  When the child Jesus was born, all the nations known of that period were in subjection to the government of Rome.  Around the Mediterranean shores were clustered the thronged provinces and majestic cities, that gave Rome the palm of dynasties.  The Atlantic Ocean was an unexplored sea.  The Indies had but a fabulous existence.  Rome was then the world, and Caesar was the governor of Rome.  He could do what he pleased with the property, the liberty and lives of over three hundred millions of people comprising the Roman Empire.
            Such power no mortal ever swayed before; such power no mortal will ever sway again.

SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS

The following is at the very end of my post – “The Spiritual Idea” – pt. 2.  I wanted to add to it after seeing The Da Vinci Code again (on March 24, 2017).  I have added new material to the post.  I will not go into as great of detail as I could about The Da Vinci Code because I have eleven-part post on it elsewhere called – The Da Vinci Code Uncoded.  (If you have read SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS before April 9, 2017, there have been a few additions made.)

THE WOMAN GOD-CROWNED

Genesis i.5.  And God called the light [to be symbolized by the sun] Day, and the darkness [to be symbolized by the moon] He called Night.  And the evening and the morning were the first day.

“Light preceding the sun
     “All questions as to the divine creation being both spiritual and material are answered in this passage, for though solar beams are not yet included in the record of creation, still there is light.  This light is not from the sun nor from volcanic flames, but it is the revelation of Truth and of spiritual ideas.  This also shows that there is no place where God’s light is not seen, since Truth, Life, and Love fill immensity and are ever-present.  Was not this a revelation instead of a creation?
“Evenings and mornings
     “The successive appearing of God’s ideas is represented as taking place on so many evenings and mornings, — words which indicate, in the absence of solar time, spiritually clearer views of Him, views which are not implied by material darkness and dawn.  Here we have the explanation of another passage of Scripture, that ‘one day is with the Lord as a thousand years.’  The rays of infinite Truth, when gathered into the focus of ideas, bring light instantaneously, whereas a thousand years of human doctrines, hypotheses, and vague conjectures emit no such effulgence.
“Spirit versus [reverses] darkness
     “Did infinite Mind create matter, and call it light?  Spirit is light, and the contradiction of Spirit is matter, darkness, and darkness obscures light.  Material sense is nothing but a supposition of the absence of Spirit.  No solar rays nor planetary revolutions form the day of Spirit.  Immortal Mind makes its own record, but mortal mind, sleep, dreams, sin, disease, and death have no record in the first chapter of Genesis.” (S&H 504:6-505:3)
     It came to me that the “evenings” and the “mornings” were symbolized by the moon and the sun.  I feel that there is a symbolic reason why the moon precedes the sun.  This reason has to do with Venus and the fact that every now and again it transits the sun.  These transits occur in pairs and they take place eight years apart from each other.  The first transit is for the evening (star), the moon, and the second transit is for the morning (star), the sun.  The moon and sun are also thought of as being the two great lights during the Fourth Day of Principle (in Genesis).
     In Revelation 10 there is the angel with the little open book.  Most Christians believe this woman to be a male angel, but the truth is the angel is a female messenger.  She descends from heaven (home, harmony) with a little open book – Science and Health [Salvation] with Key to the Scripture.  This angel is Mary Baker Eddy.  In Christ and Christmas Mary Baker Eddy, as the angel, is depicted during the midnight hour, the evening.  However, the light that shines down upon her is from the evening star (Venus), for she is God’s chosen vessel.

Seeking and Finding (colorized by me)

     In Revelation 12[1] there is the woman God-crowned.  Most Christians believe this woman to be the Virgin Mary or Mary Magdalene.  Yes, the woman is a type of Womanhood, and this Womanhood quality was manifested by the Virgin Mary and Mary Magdalene, however, this woman is meant as prophecy for the endtime.  Hence the woman God-crowned is really neither the Virgin Mary or the Magdalene.  For this woman God-crowned represents the second coming of Christ, a woman named Mary – Mary Baker Eddy.  What is interesting about this woman is that she has her feet upon the moon, she has dominion over the moon – it has no power over her – she has power over it.  Another important description given to this woman is that she is “clothed with the sun.”

“Sun.  The symbol of soul governing man, — of Truth, Life, and Love.” (S&H 595:1)

     The three comings of Christ take place during the Day of Life, the Day of Truth, and the Day of Love.

     “Because of his more spiritual vision, St. John saw an ‘angel standing in the sun.’  The Revelator beheld the spiritual idea from the mount of vision.  Purity was the symbol of Life and Love.  The Revelator saw also the spiritual ideal as a woman clothed in light, a bride coming down from heaven, wedded to the Lamb of Love.  To John, ‘the bride’ and ‘the Lamb’ represented the correlation of divine Principle and spiritual idea, God and His Christ, bringing harmony to earth.” (S&H 561:6)  God’s Christ is both masculine and feminine; if Christ were not masculine and feminine then Christ would be incomplete – not whole.
     “The woman in the Apocalypse symbolizes generic man, the spiritual idea of God; she illustrates the coincidence of God and man as the divine Principle and divine idea.  The Revelator symbolizes Spirit by the sun.  The spiritual idea is clad with the radiance of spiritual Truth, and matter is put under her feet.  The light portrayed is really neither solar nor lunar, but spiritual Life, which is ‘the light of men.’  In the first chapter of the Fourth Gospel it is written, ‘There was a man sent from God…to bear witness of that Light.’” (S&H 561:23)  And today Martha Jones-Smith says, “There was a woman sent from God…to bear witness of that Light.”

     Before beginning with the main body of this text I would like to talk to you about the June 5, 2012 transit of Venus across the sun.  Originally I read that the transit would take place on the 6th, perhaps this was a miscalculation in that 2012 is a leap year?  But it really does not matter what day, however, I do find the 5th interesting symbolically as it takes eight years for Venus to travel the path of the five pointed star.  In addition, the transit is God’s perfect symbol for the woman God-crowned of Revelation 12.  Venus is the Morning Star.  And this Morning Star of the woman God-crowned is most important in relation to Christian Science as symbolized in Mary Baker Eddy’s illustrated poem Christ and Christmas.  What this star stands for is the light (Mind) of divine Science.
