            I begin Part B with the second portion of CHRISTIAN SCIENCE HEALING because it is about Mary Baker Eddy’s Light, the result that comes from her Life work.

CHRISTMAS 2022 – Part A

            Mary Baker Eddy wrote a poem, had it illustrated, and titled it Christ and Christmas.  It was released on December 2, 1893.

            Why was the portrait of Mary Baker Eddy ever removed from the fronts of Miscellaneous Writings and the Christian Science Textbook SCIENCE AND HEALTH WITH KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES?

            In Helen’s book, IF MARY BAKER EDDY’S MANUAL WERE OBEYED, on page 97-a, she has the above picture of Mary Baker Eddy, however, instead of in type where we see her name, as seen above, is found Mary Baker Eddy’s actual signature (as seen directly below).  The SCIENCE AND HEALTH books that came out in the 1990s (not put out by The Christian Science Publishing Society) do have her picture and signature in them, as seen below.  I accidentally erased the year 1910 so it is missing at the bottom of the title page (i).

SUPERGIRL

            The last season of CW’s Supergirl was basically about SEVEN totem (revered symbol) spiritual attributes, not unlike those of the Third Degree.  These seven attributes have been separated and spread out around the earth.  Yet, there are SEVEN Super Friends who are trying to collect the seven totems in order to keep a nymph from getting her hands on them and using them for evil, to elevate the First Degree of depravity.  The seven totems appear to be material objects, but when a magical word is said the totem turns into a gemstone.  The person holding the totem has to perform a gauntlet challenge before the totem will change into a stone (or gem).  The totems have qualities like courage, strength, dreams, love, truth, etc.

            Before I begin the main portion of this post, I would like to present to you Chapter 7 of Miscellaneous Writings, by Mary Baker Eddy, pages 203-207.  It will help you discern what follows, as found in the New Testament of the BIBLE.  [My interpolations will be in this type of bracket.]

Adam’s Son

            “Adam.  Error; a falsity; the belief in ‘original sin,’ sickness, and death; evil; the opposite of good, — of God and His creation; a curse; a belief in intelligent matter, finiteness, and mortality; ‘dust to dust;’ red sandstone[1]; nothingness; the first god of mythology; not God’s man, who represents the one God and is His own image and likeness; the opposite of Spirit and His creations; that which is not the image and likeness of good, but a material belief, opposed to the one Mind, or Spirit; a so-called finite mind, producing other minds, thus making ‘gods many and lords many’ (I Corinthians viii. 5); a product of nothing as the mimicry of something; an unreality as opposed to the great reality of spiritual existence and creation; a so-called man, whose origin, substance, and mind are found to be the antipode of God, or Spirit; an inverted image of Spirit; the image and likeness of what God has not created, namely, matter, sin, sickness, and death; the opposer of Truth, termed error; Life’s counterfeit, which ultimates in death; the opposite of Love, called hate; the usurper of Spirit’s creation, called self-creative matter; immortality’s opposite, mortality; that of which wisdom saith, ‘Thou shalt surely die.’

“Issachar (Jacob’s son).  A corporeal belief; the offspring of error; envy; hatred; selfishness; self-will; lust.” (S&H 589:1)  Reuben, the first son, goes out to collect mandrakes for his mother Leah, so that she might conceive again.  Rachel, however, makes a deal with her sister, she will let Jacob be with her in return for the mandrakes.  Leah hires her husband to be with her and she conceives.  Leah says, “God hath given me my hire, because I have given my maiden [given my virginity – this is her “increasing virtue”] to my husband” (Gen 30:18).
