SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS

The following is at the very end of my post – “The Spiritual Idea” – pt. 2.  I wanted to add to it after seeing The Da Vinci Code again (on March 24, 2017).  I have added new material to the post.  I will not go into as great of detail as I could about The Da Vinci Code because I have eleven-part post on it elsewhere called – The Da Vinci Code Uncoded.  (If you have read SPIRITUAL INSIGHTS before April 9, 2017, there have been a few additions made.)

AS IT IS “Teaching must always be by symbols.”

CHAPTER XIII

Chapter 8, from Alice Orgain’s book AS IT IS, is about symbols, something that I really like!  However, I am not sure I always agree with this author upon the topic of symbols, or what they mean.  And I find that she has a low understanding of symbology.  {Any interpolations I make will be in this type of bracket.}  I will make changes to any spelling mistakes I find, and add italics where necessary, etc.

THE THREE TABERNACLES – Part 2

CHAPTER 10 (Continued)

                                                         SCIENCE
             THE PARAMOUNT MATRIX (1894) – EARTH*STAR VOYAGER
                                    “THE EDIFICE – MOTHER’S CHURCH
                        “The First Tabernacle—“creation,” (S&H 517:9)

Shadowchurch

In the drawing above of The First Church of Christ Scientist, in Boston, it stands alone without the Extension.  Notice that there is the dove of divine Science descending down with a detached branch in its beak.  This matches the dove seen in the second drawing for the eleventh Illustration in Christ and Christmas titled THE WAY (seen below is part of THE WAY, as the dove is hard to make out in the full view I have of the Illustration).

“The (little) Mother Church is the best interpreter of the limitations of ‘Mother.’  It is lighted by {a star with seven points of light, in the skylight of the auditorium (a picture of this skylight is seen further on)} …and the vestibule leading to Mother’s Room (the latter closed in 1908, Nov. 21, 1908, Sentinel), is also lighted by a seven pointed star {which I do not have a picture of}.” (p. 474)

Bird's Eye View

Above is a drawing I did, several years ago (even before I saw a satellite photo of the Church) of the original Edifice in Boston.  I am not sure I am accurate with the directions in it either (without actually going there and knowing where true North is located at).  The skylight window is oversized.  In the center of the skylight is the seven-pointed Star, like the one seen in the Vestry.  Below is a close up of what Assembly would look like if it had taken place in the Disney movie Earth*Star Voyager.

Assembly

Assembly

To me the seven points of each star represents the seven synonymous terms for God:  Mind, Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, and Love.  At this time I would like to insert a portion of a letter written by David Nolan in 2003 about Mother’s Room.

“The Spiritual Idea” Part 2

The following excerpts are from Chapter 1 of AS IT IS, by Alice Orgain (beginning on page 17 and ending on page 90).  In this chapter she explains the difference between “a spiritual idea” and “the spiritual idea.”  She also speaks about Mary Baker Eddy’s illustrated poem Christ and Christmas.  This is a topic I have spoken a great deal upon, but I think that Alice Orgain has some interesting ideas upon the topic and this is the main reason for presenting this chapter to you.  I have made certain corrections in typing mistakes (misspelled words), punctuation, and when a magazine or book is mentioned I have used italics.  I will also capitalize all letters in BIBLE and SCIENCE AND HEALTH WITH KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES.  All of the words in capital letters, besides the titles of the BIBLE and SCIENCE AND HEALTH were originally in small caps in the book.  {All of my interpolations will be in grouping brackets.}  [When I am not quoting Orgain’s book my interpolations will be in regular brackets.]

ST. JOHN – THE FOURTH LIVING CREATURE, THE FLYING EAGLE

What is the Gospel of St. John really all about? And what is it trying to get across to us? Would you be surprised to find out that the whole book is about us, the readers, taking part in the “Atonement and Eucharist”? Are we as Christians, followers of the Christ, willing to leave the material dream world for the Holy City of God?
Below is my presentation of the two Golden Candlesticks. These two Golden Candlesticks were placed in the Woman’s Court of Solomon’s Temple. The book of John secretly explains these two Golden Candlesticks to us via the tones of Science.  The angel of Revelation 10 has his left foot upon the earth and his right foot upon the sea (water).  This means that the angel’s left foot has dominion over the earth (has dominion over the Letter of the Law via Truth which is Christian Science) and the angel’s right foot has dominion over the sea (has dominion over the Spirit of the Law via Love which is divine Science).
