WONDERFUL LESSON

“5/3/1894 (in the handwriting of Laura Sargent – household worker for Mary Baker Eddy) — Mother explained what Jesus meant when he said, ‘Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and thy neighbor as thyself; on this hangs all the law.’  In order to love God we must honor and love the Way.  How can we love God unless we love His idea which shows us the way and which is the Way, and in order to honor and love the Way we must have a true sense of the individual through whom the Way has been manifested to us, else we are not keeping the law to love our neighbor as ourself, or doing by our neighbor as we would be done by.  [“His Idea” and “this individual” is Mary Baker Eddy.]  Mother [a title used for Mary Baker Eddy] explained Matthew 15:4 and showed us that the Truth which gives us spiritual birth is our Father and Mother and is what we are to love and honor.  Then she explained the difference between a human sense of love and the spiritual sense.  Our whole salvation rests upon the manner in which we treat her, since the Way comes to us through her and God demands that we love our neighbor by having the spiritual sense of our neighbor, and the spiritual sense of our Teacher and Mother as God’s idea that we must love and honor.  Now when we try to kiss her, and caress her, this is not loving and honoring the Way; it is dishonoring the Way or idea, and thus dishonoring God, and this material sense is what God is rebuking in us; and then when the rebuke comes, we look through the material sense to the person, — which in the spiritual sense is not our Teacher and Mother or the Way at all – and think she is unjust and (does not) love us and blame her for the discord, when all the time it is God rebuking us through the Way, through the idea of God that is expressing God’s condemnation of this false material sense that would forever shut us out of His presence.  Out material sense of Mrs. Eddy is person or a personal sense, which is a dishonor to her and God, for God’s idea of her is the spiritual sense of man; namely, the Way, the Truth, the Life, Christ, the spiritual sense of Love, of good, which is the divine Science of God and man.  Now, when I kiss and embrace the person, I dishonor God and His idea, and this material sense of love which is false, opens the way for another false sense i.e., hate to come in; then we blame the one that rebukes us and hate them, when the spiritual idea or real individual is showing us how much she loves us by showing us the Way, voicing God’s idea, which would give us dominion if we only followed obediently.

The Prisoner

of 1967

Editor’s note:  I wrote the original draft of The Prisoner of 1967 in 2009, then went over it again in 2015, but I feel that it is time to actually post it (in 2020) because of the conditions around the world right now.

WHAT DO WE REALLY KNOW ABOUT THE BIBLE?

Before I speak about the difference between the two creation accounts I would like to present to you an excerpt from a book called FROM REVELATION TO GENESIS, written by Englishman, W. Gordon Brown.  In these few pages, beginning on page 10, he explains how the BIBLE came to be written.  (I always capitalize the word BIBLE entirely (unless I am quoting another source) because I feel it points to the importance of the masculine BIBLE over all other books, besides its feminine mate, in the world.)  [In this first section my interpolations will be in this type of bracket.]

FORTY GENERATIONS

– or – SEVENTY-SEVEN GENERATIONS?

In the Book of St. Matthew (which is in the tone of the Word) chapter one presents forty generations from Abraham to Jesus.  This number forty symbolizes the generation of man’s spiritual birth, because a woman is pregnant for forty weeks.  In Matthew the lineage goes only back to Abraham, the first father of the Israelites (in the Third Day of Soul).  The Lord God Jehovah is not the God Almighty that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob knew.  Yet in the Book of St. Luke (which is in the tone of Christianity) Jesus lineage goes all the way back to Adam (a man of sin) being “the son of God.”  I believe that there is a specific reason for this.  I believe that the Word begins with a spiritual type of manhood (Jesus), while Christianity seems to lead us back to the pure idea or our true being – God.  When this happens we find that we are home in heaven.  Yet perhaps a Bible verse from John 16:28 helps explain the difference between the two lineages of Jesus.  Matthew (the Word) – “I came forth from the Father,” Mark (the Christ) – “and am come into the world again, I leave the world,” Luke (Christianity) – “and go to the Father”.  Mary Baker Eddy tells us, “Science unfolds the eternal verity, that man is the spiritual, eternal reflection of God” (S&H 296:2).

The Trump Cult

Recently mainstream media (the Liberal Press) and the Democrats have been spewing forth propaganda that followers of President Trump are in a cult, that President Trump is a cult leader.
First off I would like to say, that I am willing to accept that I am part of the cult because I understand what the word cult REALLY means!  So, let us examine the word cult in order to educate the mainstream media-Liberal Press and Democrats.
The first thing that Webster’s New Collegiate Dictionary says about cult is as follows:  “[adoration; to cultivate—more at WHEEL].”  Adoration has to do with adoring someone or perhaps some god or even the one God.  So we could say that religions in general could be considered as cults.  What does cultivate mean?  “1:  to prepare or prepare and use for the raising of crops; specif:  to loosen or break up the soil about (growing plants)  2  1:  to foster the growth of  b:  culture  2a  c:  to improve by labor, care, or study:  refine  3:  further encourage  4:  to seek the society of:   make friends with.”[1]  Well, can we accept that the followers of President Trump are farmers?  Some of them are, for sure, but not all of them.  So, let us look to 2a  c’s definition.  Culture is an improvement of mankind through three things – labor, care, and study.  And these things refine (improve, perfect by pruning or polishing; to free from what is coarse, vulgar, or uncouth; to become pure and perfected[2]) mankind.  So, again, being part of a cult seems to be a pretty good thing to me!

Bible Prophecy Fulfilled (continued)

Bible Prophecy Fulfilled (continued)

Chapter 16 of Bliss Knapp’s book The Destiny of The Mother Church is titled “Prophecy”.  It begins on page 236 with the picture seen below.  In the top left hand corner, on the Side of Life, there is Jesus and Mary Baker Eddy (there are also other less defined figures in the clouds).  Then with hands in prayer fashion and looking to heaven, more in the center, but near the Side of Light there is the man child.

Bible Prophecy Fulfilled

The Woman

“The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.”  “I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.” (Matthew 13:33, 35)

In Bliss Knapp’s book Destiny of The Mother Church he tells us about how the parable of the woman, told to us by Jesus, was kept secret from the foundation of the world, that it “implies that she was no ordinary woman and that her mission must be unique” (Destiny, p. 185).  His twelfth chapter (that seems to be in synch with Revelation’s twelfth chapter) is about Mary Baker Eddy and how she fulfilled Bible prophecy.  And this is the reason why the Board of Directors did not want his book to be read by Christian Scientists in the late 1940’s and why they really did not want to publish it in the early 1990’s.

WHAT CAN THE BIBLE TEACH US?

Do Jehovah’s Witnesses Understand What the BIBLE Really Says?
How much do they know about BIBLE history and its writing?  Do they even know or care that there are two distinct creation accounts in Genesis?  One is called the Elohistic Document and it is about the spiritual creation done by Elohim-Shaddai, the second is called the Jehovistic Document and it is about an allegorical creation of a material world and man created by the Lord God Jehovah.  Jehovah is their main God, the one that is most important to the Witnesses.  These two documents were not even written down (into the Torah) until the Jews (not the Israelites) were taken into Babylonian captivity.  Any accounts of creation before this time, as well as stories about the Patriarchs, were handed down through verbal story telling.
