LIFE reflecting SPIRIT as LIFE utilizing the WORD

In the presence of uplifted spiritual thinking (souls of martyrs – God’s witnesses) self pity is purified.  Revelation 6:9-11
            “In the opening of the fifth seal it is no longer a case of one of the four beasts saying, ‘Come and see,’ because John is now showing the true individuality of Life, and Life just is.  There is a great sense of ‘I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.’  The passage in the ‘scientific statement of being’ corresponding to this opening of the fifth seal reads, ‘Spirit is immortal Truth; matter is mortal error.  Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal’ (S&H 468:11-13).  Remember that Jesus’ names for God were Spirit and Truth, and that Jesus came in the fifth thousand-year period of Bible history, which is symbolized in these three verses.  Don’t forget that the opening of the seven seals opens the Bible for us.  In the fifth period not only was Jesus crucified, but there was also great persecution of Christians.  (See S&H 54:21-28; Mis 162:11-21; S&H 597:10-11; Mis 121:4-12; S&H 37:5-12.)    Life was analyzing false individuality.  Jesus overcame death and proved to perfection in his lifework that ‘Spirit is immortal Truth; matter is mortal error,’ and that ‘Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal.’  No one in the whole of human history has proved that statement as Jesus did.”[1]
            In verse 9 when the fifth seal is opened, the tone of Life, John sees underneath “the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held.”  The fifth evil attempt is to hide (obscure) the Truth about Revelation.  John sees an altar of sacrifice, with shining faces of spiritual witnesses (martyrs).  He sees how “consciousness becomes uplifted and illuminated by having stood through trials and tribulations for the Word of God [the Lion].”[2]  The word “souls” belonging to the martyrs is used to indicate their consciousness or type of thinking (uplifted spiritual thoughts), in this verse “souls” does not refer to a spiritual soul that is trapped inside a material body.
            Verse 10 has the souls crying with a loud voice where they express self-pity.  Hoyt says, “But the counterfeit of the true martyr thought was expressing self-pity and self-righteousness, by saying, ‘How long, O lord, holy and true, doest Thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?’”[3]  This belief that they should be avenged is a counterfeit thought that must be destroyed with the destruction of the fifth seal.  Verse 10 has the counterfeit of the true martyr (witness) thought being expressed as self-pity and self-righteousness.  Real uplifted spiritual thought, for example that of Jesus, silences the counterfeit thought of self-pity.
            “To-day we see that the fifth period, which corresponds to the fifth day of creation, illustrates that love … is the laying down of the mortal sense of things.  Inevitably we shall all have to lay down mortality, and we can do it either through Science or through suffering; if we do it through Science, we shall lay down mortality through an understanding of the immortality of Life, and that is the best way to do it.  We can use that which is Life to analyze all that is unlike Life.  We can fill our thought with the fact that Life is eternal, that it is infinite fatherhood, infinite progression, the one Being, infinite multiplication, infinite exaltation, infinite inspiration, and then we can turn and analyze the belief of mortality, of deprivation due to old age or to anything else, the belief of poverty, of lack of sight and hearing, of lack of individuality, the belief of beginning and ending, the belief of time.  Because there is one fatherhood, that truth destroys any false sense of fatherhood or the lack of fatherhood.  Because there is infinite exaltation and infinite inspiration, there can be no sense of being beclouded.  And so, as we lift up our whole sense of Life, we can begin to analyze mortality in any shape or form.  We can turn and rend it, and that was wonderfully illustrated in the fifth thousand-year Scriptural period, when Life analyzed the false sense of individuality.”[4]
            In verse 11 these divine witnesses are given white robes of purified protective thoughts within their subjective uplifted illuminated consciousness until the mission of all martyrs was finished, until all self-pity is destroyed.  “In the presence of uplifted spiritual thought, self-pity is purified.”[5]

Verse 11 – “white robes [purified protection]”—“The robes of Spirit are ‘white and glistering,’ like the raiment of Christ.  Even in this world, therefore, ‘let thy garments be always white.’  ‘Blessed is the man that endureth [overcometh] temptation:  for when he is tried, [proved faithful], he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him’ (James i. 12.)” (S&H 267:25-32; [Mary Baker Eddy’s interpolations.])  In Verse 11 self-pity is destroyed.
            “When we say that these verses symbolize the fifth thousand-year period, don’t forget that the thousand-year periods of the Bible are only illustrations of how the days of creation operated in certain ways at certain points in human history, just as in music certain types of music were produced at certain periods.  But the fact of Life is forever available to us, just as the music of past epochs remains for us in all its beauty and permanence.  In the fifth thousand years from Adam the sense of Life which Jesus demonstrated overcame the belief of crucifixion and enabled his followers to stand up to the bitterest persecution, but you and I to-day must use that sense of Life in our own individual way in order to analyze the problem of mortality in every detail and to see it as nothing.  The whole tone of this vision of Life is analysis.  Mrs. Eddy says, ‘Error found out is two-thirds destroyed,’—the first third through analysis, the second third through uncovering,–‘and the last third pierces itself’ (Mis. 355:13-14).  If you analyze the error of a situation and uncover it, it very soon destroys itself.
            “From a purely temporal point of view, the opening of the sixth seal, which we are just going to consider, corresponds to the period in which we live to-day [up until June 6, 1996].  Mrs. Eddy says, ‘In the opening of the sixth seal, typical of six thousand years since Adam, the distinctive feature has reference to the present age’ (S&H 560:2-5).  According to the chronology of the Bible, we are now in the sixth thousand years from Adam, and in another fifty years we shall be out of it.  [These talks are given in the year 1948, add fifty years to that and we will be in the Seventh Day of Love.  The year would be 1998, but I have calculated that the Seventh Day began in 1996.].  Moreover, the historical record of the sixth day of creation, Historically, the millennial theory of human development seems to prove itself, because it is believed in, and it also provides us with a deeply interesting illustration, which helps to clarify our sense of the divine tones, but the important thing is that you and I should have the ability to open every one of the seals right here and now, both for ourselves and for mankind.  We want to be able to prove at this moment that ‘There is no life, truth, intelligence, nor substance in matter,’ through understanding Life [our candlestick] as Mind, Spirit, Soul, and Principle.  Science, the operation of divine idea, is ever-present.  It is not of much advantage to us to consider the thousand-year periods as they are symbolized in this vision unless they give us the ability to analyze the conditions we are faced with to-day.
            “I do want you to see clearly that although we are seeing the operation of the days of creation in human history, what we are really seeing has nothing to do with time.  We are learning to apply this Science here and now.  The time process ceased when Jesus came, because he fulfilled all seven days of creation.  The Hebrews had believed that ‘one day is with the Lord as a thousand years,’—that the first thousand years fulfilled the first day, the second thousand the second day, and so on.  But when Jesus came, he demonstrated the falsity of limiting the divine order to time; he didn’t destroy their system of symbolization, but he lifted it out of time into eternity, and fulfilled it as the operation of the eternal ‘now.’  Remember that it is in the fifth day of creation that the time sense disappears, and all seven days are viewed from the focal point of Life as ever-present; they are seen operating as a calculus of the Word in its own aspect and reflecting the Christ, Christianity, and Science.  The four beasts have symbolized that very picture of the fifth day.  The first beast, the Word, showed through Life as Mind that there is no life in matter; the second, the Christ, showed through Life as Spirit that there is no truth in matter; the third, Christianity, showed through Life as Soul that there is no intelligence in matter; and the fourth, Science, showed through Life as Principle that there is no substance in matter.  To-day you and I want to learn how to use these values here and now and under all circumstances, just as we use 2+2=4 or any fact in mathematics.  John, the great Christian, who became the great metaphysician, is showing us throughout Revelation the eternality of Science.
            “…at the point of Life as Life, the fifth seal, which corresponds to Jesus’ [God-crowned] mission, the whole aspect changes, and you begin to demonstrate positive values, because the time element is eliminated.  When you understand Life as Life, you prove that ‘Spirit is immortal Truth; matter is mortal error.  Spirit is the real and eternal; matter is the unreal and temporal’”[6]
            Doorly continues on about the tone of Life and how “we are learning to use the divine tones in their infinite combinations.”[7]  But I want to move on to the paragraph on the bottom of page 178 where he speaks about the opening of the six seals.  Although they illustrate “the development of human history, we mustn’t regard it merely as a time process.”[8]  However, Mary Baker Eddy made a point to specify that the sixth seal pointed to her God-crowned mission (if Jesus had his in Life, then she must have hers in Truth).  This is of importance, and Mr. Doorly sort of underplays it at this point.  He explains what he wants and what we want “is actual, eternal, spiritual values that we can use here and now, values that we can use under all circumstances to lay down mortality, values which operate according to order, system, and method.  Now, in order to grasp those values, you will have to give time and thought to them.  Even on the face of it, the opening of the seals is a wonderful symbol, but as you study it, it will grow on your thought.”[9]  So, “Life begins to analyze on a higher basis, and thus deals with the carnal mind in its essence, whilst presenting the indivisibility of being.  Then Truth uncovers, and also makes manifest the form of the Son of God, and finally Love annihilates every phase of error and fulfils the divine ideal.”[10]

SPIRIT reflecting TRUTH utilizing the CHRIST
In the presence of the One on the throne and the Love of the Christ human will power cannot stand.  Revelation 6:12-17
            In chapter 6:12 the sixth seal is opened and there is great upheaval.  Now what is so important about this sixth seal is that it represents the prophecy of the second coming of Christ.  For before the second coming of Christ takes place there is “[v. 12] a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; [v.13] And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. [v.14] And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places.”
            Hoyt explains:  “There are several similarities in this description to the Apocalypse of Jesus as found in Matthew 24.  You will better understand what Jesus was saying after knowing these details of Apocalyptic literature.”[11]  A similar description is also found in Mark 13:24, 25 when Jesus gives us signs of Christ’s second coming.  There is documented proof that all of these things took place before and after July 16, 1821 when Mary Baker came to earth.  She is the second coming of Christ.
            “But what is the cause of all the turmoil?  We are advised that the kings of this earth, the princes, the chief captains, the rich, the strong, are hiding themselves in the caves and in the mountains begging the mountains to fall on them and hide them from something which they cannot face.  Now according to our translations, the kings of the earth would be the leaders of materialism and materialistic thinking.  In other words, human will thinking.  Human will cannot stand in the presence of the One on the throne.  Human will itself wants to be on the throne, but when the recognition of One Supreme Power is admitted, human will hides itself and cries out to be concealed.
            “There is something else human will cannot stand in the presence of.  The phrase used is ‘the wrath of the Lamb [the spiritual idea].’  The ‘wrath of the Lamb’ in the New Testament is a phrase comparable to the ‘anger of the Lord’ in the Old Testament.  Whenever the Old Testament writers expressed a thought of the ‘anger of the Lord’ their concept was that of a primitive, anthropomorphic corporeal Deity, in other words, Yahweh.  Only corporeal deity could express anger, but after all, the phrase ‘the anger of the Lord’ was an alibi, as we would say today, because only when the Children of Israel had been disobedient and had let selfwill govern them and when they were suffering the discipline which such thinking brings, only then did they blame Deity for something for which they themselves were responsible.
            “In the New Testament we learn that incorporeal, infinite Deity is Love.  A true concept of Deity, therefore, is Deity expressing love and not wrath.  Therefore the translation for ‘the wrath of the Lamb’ is ‘the love of the Lamb.’  The classic illustration of this thought in the Old Testament is found in Hosea 1-3.  Hosea disciplined his wife through Love not wrath.”[12]
            All the wrong types of material thinking, spoken of in verse 15, fear their destruction after the publication of SCIENCE AND HEALTH (a little book open) is published in 1875.  In the presence of God and the Love of the Christ, self-will and human willpower cannot stand.
            Verse 17 asks the question “who shall be able to stand?”  Augusta Stetson stood, Mary Baker Eddy told her so.  Hoyt tells us that those who are able to stand “are those who stand before God, and they are more than can be counted.  They are those who stand before the One on the Throne and accept the teachings of the Christ power, and prove their spiritual victory.”[13]
            What are the teachings of the Christ power?  Are not the teachings the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, specifically SCIENCE AND HEALTH WITH KEY TO THE SCRIPTURES?
            The opening of the sixth seal has the tone of Spirit, it shows that “Spirit is God, and man is His image and likeness.  Therefore man is not material; he is spiritual.” (S&H 468:13-15)  “To-day you and I are trying to bring home to ourselves the fact that God is Spirit, that Spirit means order, substance, reality, development, that man is God’s image and likeness—in fact we are analyzing the whole belief that man is material.  (See S&H 300:9-12, 265:16-22, and 81:17-30.)
            “These verses depict in John’s heightened symbolic manner the breaking up of all false systems, which is taking place before our eyes to-day.  John uses the sun, the moon, the stars, and so forth, to represent all counterfeit systems, such as false theology, material medica, physical science [and astrology].  If you read books by prominent physical scientists, you will find that many of them admit that they don’t know where their conclusions are leading them, and the best of them say that these conclusions are unreliable anyway, because they are wholly based on material premises.  Verse 15 gives the false sense of the compound idea man.”[14]
            “The question ‘What is Truth,’ convulses the world.” (S&H 223:14)
            In No and Yes 45:27 Mary Baker Eddy tells us “material history is drawing to a close.”  She does not tell us that spiritual history is coming to an end.  “Real history is the development of the Christ-idea, which is forever going on.”  “Truth is the rock of ages, the headstone of the corner, ‘but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.’” (S&H 380:5-7)  “What we are seeing in this sixth thousand-year period is the operation of truth urging ‘upon mortals its resisted claims’ (S&H 223:29-30).  The systems which men used to trust to give them health, happiness, holiness, no longer do, and so they are being forced to put on the Mind of Christ.  (See Un. 10:25-2; S&H 96:15-24 and 31-97:4.)”[15]
            What Doorly does not explain to his students is what is written in this portion of Text about the Sixth Seal, that the signs are signs of the second coming of Christ.  These things actually took place before the second coming took place on July 21, 1821, and some after (during) Mary Baker Eddy’s mission.

            Before we proceed on to the seventh tone John has “an interlude of consolation and hope to reassure his readers that they cannot be hurt by the tribulations that may come in the working out of their dominion.  Here the interlude which contains the sealing of the servants presents the truth about them.  The seal on the forehead is a protecting seal.  As John visioned this interlude, we learn that the servants cannot be destroyed because

“They are complete in number,
“They are the ‘children’ of spiritual victory
“They express freedom and dominion.
“They reflect the attributes of God,
“They are ever in God’s presence,
“And they are ever protected.”[16]

INTERLUDE:  SEALING THE SERVANTS

*Note:  The structural design of this interlude is a common one in Hebrew Wisdom Literature.  The Sermon on the Mount as given by Matthew is in this form.  (See Modern Reader’s Bible by Moulton)
            Spiritual victory is established in this interlude, thus beginning to remove the “veil” of separation between God and man.
            “These proofs of spiritual victory are the protection of those who have won that victory, therefore they cannot be touched or ‘hurt’ by the trials and tribulations of the world.”[17]

INTERLUDE:  SEALING OF THE SERVANTS – Chapter 7 only
            Chapter 7 is the Interlude of VISION I, where we are still considering the Sixth Seal of Truth, as well as, the Sixth Day of Truth.  Doorly tells us that this “embodies the four orders as the diagonal of the [Network or Square] Matrix (the Word, the Christ, Christianity, and Science, each in its own aspect).”[18]

Verse 1 – “This [Verse] symbolizes the Word in its own aspect [the Word], — Mind, Spirit, and Soul.  The ‘four angels’ are a type of the four beasts, — the divine infinite calculus, — and the ‘four winds’ are a type of the four horses.”[19]
             The calculus is called “four angels.”  These four angels stand on the four corners of the earth.  “When it was believed that the earth was flat and had four corners, there was a tradition that an angel stood at each corner.  It was the business of each to hold back the winds, and as long as each held them back, everything was quiet.[20]  When the angels let the winds go, of course, storm and stress followed.  Thus in this interlude, we are told that while the angels are holding back the wind and all is quiet, another angel came from the sunrising (the land of the dawning[21]) with the seal of the living God [Verse 2].  It is his command that the winds should not blow until the servants of God have been sealed upon their foreheads.  Like the familiar seal of a notary upon a document, this sealing implies protection, legalization, authenticity to the servants; after the servants are thus sealed and protected, it makes no difference how many winds blow or storms rage.  The servants cannot be hurt nor destroyed so long as they remember they are sealed!  The seal or protection of the Living God is theirs.  Those sealed are God’s own and they are established.  The seal itself is generally recognized as being the realization of spiritual Truth and Law.”[22]

MIND
Verse 1 cont. – “I saw”—Mind sees.

SPIRIT
Verse 1 cont. – “‘four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth’—you can recognize there at once the tone of Spirit, because Mrs. Eddy frequently associates the idea of a calculus with Spirit.

SOUL
Verse 1 cont. – “‘that the wind should not blow upon the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree’—that indicates the safety of Soul, and also the third day of creation, in which the dry land appeared and the earth brought forth grass, herb, and fruit tree.”[23]
            “Moral and spiritual might belong to Spirit, who holds the ‘wind in His fists;’ and this teaching accords with Science and harmony.” (S&H 192:17-19).  In this first Verse “as a result of the analysis in the opening of the sixth seal, thought begins to understand how to use the Word in its own aspect, how to use it with power.  In the language of to-day we might paraphrase what John says here like this:  I saw divine order, the calculus of Spirit, making all things safe.  (See also S&H 471:1-5 [from “Science”].)”[24]
            In verse 2 another angel is seen ascending from the east (the cardinal point for the Christ), having the seal of the living God.  Is this seal the Christian Science Seal with its four infinite divine calculus commands – “CAST OUT DEMONS – HEAL THE SICK – CLEANSE THE LEPERS – RAISE THE DEAD?  Is this the message in verse 3, to not hurt the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees until the servants of God are sealed?

Verses 2, 3 – “Here we have a symbolization of—Truth, Love, Soul, Spirit.”[25]

TRUTH
Verse 2 – “‘And I saw another angel ascending from the east’—Christ, or Truth.”[26]

LOVE
Verse 2 cont. – “‘having the seal of the living God’—that seal is the design of Love.  (See S&H 472:6-8.)”

SOUL
Verse 2 cont. – “‘and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea’—a sense of the safety of Soul.”[27]

SPIRIT
Verse 3 – “‘Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads’—Mrs. Eddy says, ‘Spirit diversifies, classifies, and individualizes all thoughts’ (S&H 513:17-18).  (See also S&H 64:30-32 and 545:27-546:5.)”[28]
            Christ, or Truth, is fulfilled in the design of Love and this design is “identified in the safety of Soul and diversified, classified, and individualized in the order of Spirit. …Christ, Truth, seals all with safety and order.”[29]

Verses 4-10 – We now come to an indication of Christianity in its own aspect, — Mind, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth, Love.
            “We next learn [in Verse 4] the number of the servants.  They are ‘a hundred and forty and four thousand.’  In other words, infinite and complete in number, this being a multiple of twelve, one of the perfect numbers of completeness in Hebrew literature.”[30]  These Christ servants are the children of Israel.

Verse 4 – “‘And I heard the number of them which were sealed:  and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel’—that number gives a sense of the ‘twelve’ of demonstration fully manifested in Mind.”[31]  Actually, it is 12 squared, so it gives us the idea behind the city foursquare, where the twelve tribes are found to be the twelve Stargates (of divine Science), and are also for the city itself.  This makes up the Unity Matrix.
            In Verses 5-8 we have twelve tribes (three tribes per verse) making up the outer circle of the city.  The twelve tribes are really the twelve Stars, or Stargates, to the woman’s crown (Revelation 12).  Doorly says that this is “the tone of Soul—the identifying, or naming, of demonstration.  (See S&H 562:11-21; Josh. 4:1-7.)”[32]
            We are given the following calculus (Verses 5-8) for the outer circle of the wheel (cult) of Israel.  All are sealed; each tribe (tone) has twelve thousand who are sealed.  Twelve times twelve equals one hundred and forty-four (a gross).  The twelve tribes represent twelve states of consciousness, which, when spiritually understood, make up the perfect spiritual consciousness or life of us all.  They are the twelve Stars (Angels) of the woman’s crown (the important Angel mentioned in VISION 4).  The pattern represents chapters 1-12 of SCIENCE AND HEALTH.  The last thing mentioned (in the following calculus) for each tribe is the Keystone window from WINDOW OF THE OPEN BOOK.

Verse 9 – “‘After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands’—the onliness [only-ness] and absolute purity of the calculus of Spirit.”[34]
            Hoyt interprets verse 9 as follows:  “Do you remember the false martyrs under the altar filled with self-pity who asked ‘Who shall be able to stand?’ (Rev. 6:17).  You will now see as I do that the spiritual children are infinite in number, and that they are the ones who stand before the One on the throne and the Lamb.  They are purified and victorious.” (SAJP, p. 163)
            Verse 10 has God and the Lamb on the throne.

Verse 10 – “‘And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb’—Mrs. Eddy defines ‘Salvation’ as ‘Life, Truth, and Love understood and demonstrated as supreme over all; sin, sickness, and death destroyed’ (S&H 593:20-22).  Because salvation means Science of Health, we could read her definition as follows:  “SCIENCE AND HEALTH.  Life, Truth, and Love understood and demonstrated as supreme over all; sin, sickness, and death destroyed.”
            “So there we see an indication of how Mind manifests demonstration, how Soul identifies or names it, and how in Spirit it becomes ‘a great multitude,’ ‘clothed with white robes,’ a calculus of infinite ideas reflecting the salvation of Life, Truth, and Love.  We might epitomize that in this way:  All ideas of Mind are demonstrated as divinely identified and operating in an infinite calculus of ideas reflecting Life, Truth, and Love.”[35]

Verses 11-17 – “Finally, John gives an illustration of Science in its own aspect, —Principle … the forever operation of omni-active Principle.”[36]  Verse 11 brings remembrance of the throne in Vision 1.  Verse 12 has angels saying, “Amen:  Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever.  Amen.”

Verses 11 and 12 – “give the same picture as the first vision (of the enthroned one).”[37]

Verse 13 – has the elder, which Doorly says, “typifies the question ‘What is man?’ and its answer in ‘Recapitulation.’  (See S&H 475:5-477:18.)”[38]
            In verse 13 the question is asked, “Who are the purified ones and where did they come from?”

Verse 14 – “Those who have come ‘out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb’ are those who have proved the ‘scientific statement of being.’”[39]
            Verses 14 and 15 gives the answer to the question in Verse 13, “…they are the servants who had been purified through tribulation.  This is why they are ever in God’s presence serving him day and night and God will protect them, sustain them, refresh them, and shelter them (v. 16).  The servants are those who do the works of the Christ, they CAST OUT DEMONS – HEAL THE SICK – CLEANSE THE LEPERS [the terminally ill] – RAISE THE DEAD.
            The Interlude ends with Verses 16 and 17.  There will be no more hunger or thirst, nor will the sun or heat hurt them because the Lamb which is planted in Principle, feeds the servants and leads them to the living fountains of waters, and God wipes away all their tears (sorrows and grief).  Verse 17 shows that the Christ and God are at-one.  The Christ directs the servants forever and leads them to the living fountains of waters of Life.  And God will forever comfort them with the Holy Spirit.

Verse 17 – “‘the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne’ is a wonderful symbol of ‘the human and divine coincidence,’ of ‘divinity embracing humanity in Life and its demonstration’ (S&H 561:16-18).  (See also S&H 55:15-26 and 573:17-28.)
            For those unfamiliar with the matrix for the divine infinite calculus, the seven synonymous terms for God are utilized differently under certain tones for the divine infinite calculus as seen below.

            Doorly summarizes the Interlude with, “the intelligent analysis of the false sense of Life, through Life as Mind, as Spirit, as Soul, as Principle, as Life, and as Truth, brings you to the point where you learn to use the Word in its own aspect [of the Word], — Mind, Spirit, Soul; the Christ in its own aspect [of the Christ], — Truth, Love, Soul, Spirit; Christianity in its own aspect [of Christianity], — Mind, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth, Love; and Science in its own aspect [of Science], — Principle.”[40]

SPIRIT in the tone of TRUTH as LOVE utilizing CHRISTIANITY
            Chapter 8:1 is the end of Vision II.  “And when he had opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour.”  There is the presence of completeness; this is heaven.  Here “all phases of self-ignorance and all false material thinking associated with lust, war, greed, death, self-pity, and human will-power, have been silenced.”[41]
            “In the presence of completeness, all false thinking is silenced.  That completeness has been established by the recognition of right thinking or the understanding of true selfhood.  Therefore, our theme becomes the establishment of true selfhood, and this establishment silences all false thinking, such as lust, war, greed, death, self-pity, and human will.  True self-hood inevitably recognizes one authority, and one protection.*

“*Compare this thought with the curtain covering the inner tabernacle, giving protection to all within.  This is often designated as ‘to spread his tabernacle over them – to dwell in their midst.’”[42]  Another name, that God gave to me, to describe this idea is “Tentus”.  And this idea was also symbolized (to me anyway) in a first season episode of Stargate SG-1, with William Moses, where the sky was orange.

LOVE – In the presence of completeness (heaven, harmony) all false beliefs of human selfhood expressed as lust, war, greed, a belief in death, self pity, and human will power are silenced.  Revelation 8:1
            The opening of the seventh seal has the tone of Love, of fulfillment.  The Six Days are to “find out the nothingness of matter,” while the Seventh Day is the Day “of rest, when it is found that evil is naught and good is all (See Mis 279:18-21).”  Doorly says that this is when the hem of Christ is touched.  In the BIBLE it was a woman who touched the hem of Christ’s robe.  Mary Baker Eddy “gives the sense of the opening of this seventh seal when she writes, ‘Her prophecy pauses.  Divine Science alone can compass the heights and depths of being and reveal the infinite’ (S&H 292:4-6).  (See also Hab. 2:20; Mis. 124:20-23; S&H 288:10-19.)
            “The opening of the seventh seal typifies the seventh thousand years from Adam, — complete and inspired analysis of the divine idea, — and it demonstrates the Church Universal and Triumphant.  Mrs. Eddy says, ‘Unfathomable Mind is expressed.  The depth, breadth, height, might, majesty, and glory of infinite Love fill all space.  That is enough!  Human language can repeat only an infinitesimal part of what exists.  The absolute ideal, man, is no more seen nor comprehended by mortals, than is his infinite Principle, Love.  Principle and its idea, man, are coexistent and eternal.  The numerals of infinity, called seven days, can never be reckoned according to the calendar of time’—we have been taking them out of time and putting them into the realm of idea and metaphysics, so that we can constantly avail ourselves of them.  ‘These days will appear as mortality disappears, and they will reveal eternity, newness of Life, in which all sense of error forever disappears and thought accepts the divine infinite calculus’ (S&H 520:3-15).”[43]
            There have been six steps of development in Vision II symbolized by the six seals.  The removal of the seventh seal brings a silence in heaven for an indefinite period of time, so that the prayers of the saints, the spiritual thinkers, could be heard.  These spiritual thinkers are the Christian Scientists, today’s children of Israel.  They help with what is to follow.
            However, if like Scripture tells us, that one day is as a thousand years to the Lord, then there is a way to figure out what this “silence in heaven about the space of half an hour” means.  There are twenty-four hours in a day, which means that there are forty-eight half hours in a day.  So if we take one thousand years and divide it by forty-eight, we come to about a period of twenty years.  Then we figure out (by my calculations I made many years ago) that the end of the Sixth Day of Truth was on June 6, 1996, add twenty to that, and guess what, you get the date of June 6, 2016.  It was on June 6, 1996 when the seventh seal was opened by the seventh Star-Angel.  Today, the day I am writing this to you is June 2, 2016!  What are the odds that I have figured this out almost exactly on the date of June 6, 2016?  I am not kidding you; I am being 100% straight with you!  What are the odds that I am writing these posts (even though I have as yet to publish them) at this exact moment when the silence ends according to St. John?  The number actually comes to 20.8333…  What would the .83… stand for?  I think it would be a period of a little over 8 months.  Eight months from June 6, 2016 is February 6, 2017.
            Putting all of this future stuff aside, this spiritual victory removed the veil (the partition or wall between God and man).  Both this interlude and the interlude for Vision III function to remove the Veil before the climax Vision (IV) can appear.  “In the establishment of the Understanding of true selfhood, all false thinking is silenced.”[44]
            This ends VISION II.  The seventh seal has to do with our present time.  How do I know this?  Because Venus (the Morning Star) has transited the sun twice during my life time, the first on June 8, 2008 and the second on June 5, 2012.  Martha’s God-crowned mission is to present to mankind, the union between the Lamb and the Bride, the marriage between Christianity and Science.  It is her job to point out that the second coming of Christ has already come as a woman known as Mary Baker Eddy.
            The book that was published just before the first transit and the movie that was produced after the first transit (both the same story) known as THE DE VINCI CODE, was about this very topic – that the second coming of Christ is a woman.  The book, specifically, via symbols, brought out the woman’s identity, as though hidden, as being Mary of Boston.
            Again, the idea of the woman’s identity was brought out in a different book/movie combination where the main heroin’s name is Forever Leader (The Hunger Games) around the time of the second transit.  But, for me, what was really important was the fact that I had planned on putting up my website during the time of the second transit, even though I worried that I was doing the wrong thing.  From everything I had heard (for years) the transit was to take place on June 6, 2012, and I got up and running on June 5, 2012.  To my surprise, I found out afterward, that the actual transit took place on June 5, 2012.  Perhaps this was not important to most people, but to me it was an important sign that I had done the correct thing, and that God was with me.
