Mary Baker Eddy’s Place – Chapter 4
Chapter 4 – THE CAPSTONE
THE THIRD STEP UP TAKES US TO THE HEADSTONE
The capstone vision, of Principle, has the full Revelation and establishment of the Christ that annihilates all phases of resistance to the Truth (the Woman).
Principle as Principle – the Capstone – Headstone – of the Minor Pyramid Matrix of Principle, where divine Principle governs and rules
THE THIRD POINT-
“As Christ Jesus exemplified the fatherhood of God, she (Mrs. Eddy) revealed [discovered, uncovered] God’s motherhood; she represents in this age the spiritual idea of God typified by the woman in the Apocalypse. (See Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 565:13-22)”
“The impersonation of the spiritual idea had a brief history in the earthly life of our Master; but ‘of his kingdom there shall be no end,’ for Christ, God’s idea, will eventually rule all nations and peoples—imperatively, absolutely, finally—with divine Science. This immaculate idea, represented first by man and, according to the Revelator, last by woman, will baptize with fire; and the fiery baptism will burn up the chaff of error with the fervent heat of Truth [Michael] and Love [Gabriel], melting and purifying even the gold of human character.” (S&H 565:13-22)
Rev. 13:1-10 – The patience and faith of the Saints (spiritual idea of God; Christian Scientists) in their application of the Revelation (of Christian Science) overcomes illegitimate domination (ecclesiastical despotism “Levi” as false fatherhood) and malpractice (disobedience to the Church Manual estoppel clauses as false motherhood), the beast with names of blasphemy.
Because the red dragon is unable to openly cause the death of Mary Baker Eddy, it delegates authority to two other types of destructive thought. The first beast comes up like a crocodile (or hippopotamus), out of the shifting sand of the sea “elementary, latent error, the source of all error’s visible forms” (S&H 559:3-6). This beast must fail, for Michael has his “right foot” or dominant power upon the sea.
This beast has ten horns (of illegitimate power) and seven heads. These symbols point to Romanism. The ten horns are a false power attempting to break the Ten Commandments. The seven heads (thought of as the seven hills of Rome) would be the seven heads, or offices, of The Mother Church found within the 89th edition of the Church Manual, false motherhood. Each one of these office heads are apposed to St. John’s seven visions in Revelation. When a church is run via the five personal senses instead of the seven synonymous terms for God then those heads become beasts of Rome (ecclesiastical despotism). The top office is that of Reverend Mary Baker Eddy as Pastor Emeritus. Her office represents that of Principle. This head was decapitated when the illegitimate 89th edition of the Church Manual was printed and distributed to the world as “authorized by Mary Baker Eddy.” After the C. S. Field made much controversy over the disappearance of the Church Head Leader the Board returned her name and office to the list of Church offices. However, if the estoppel clauses are not being obeyed is the Board of Directors following Principle? No, the Board is not following Principle. And so the Babylonian woman became head officer. It is important to understand that the Board of Directors represents the office of Mind. Thus, the question remains, are they leading the Field (congregation) with mortal mind or divine Mind?
Upon the beast’s heads are names of blasphemy (the appointments or offices [names] of those who break the laws). Jesus dared to name the name of God when, according to Jewish law, only High Priests (of Levi) were allowed to name the name of God. In so doing, Jesus was not following the High Priests’ rules and regulations, thus Jesus was called a blasphemer (one who breaks the law). Today if a lawyer does not follow the Bar-Association’s rules he is called a malpractitioner, likewise then, those who do not follow the Church Manual By-Laws and its estoppel clauses are malpractitioners. If there are so many malpractitioners in the Field of Christian Science today (even if that malpractice comes from their ignorance of the facts about the woman God-crowned) then does not this account for why there are so few good practitioners healing the world? Many, perhaps most, of these practitioners accept the dragon’s false teachings about the woman God-crowned!
If Jesus was hated for naming just one name of God, think of how the red dragon hated Mary Baker Eddy for naming the seven names of God.
The red dragon says, “Let us accuse Mary Baker Eddy of malpractice like we did Jesus! Yes, let us claim that she expected the Board of Directors to bow down to human lawyers for advice on what they should do to carry on the material organization instead of following her estoppel clauses that will put an end to material organization!” This is exactly what the Board of Directors did to justify their names (their offices of control and domination). Thus they turned the office of Pastor Emeritus into the Babylonian woman.
Jesus was also called a blasphemer because he called himself the Son of God. Mary Baker Eddy had her mission, that of fulfilling Bible prophecy. The majority of Christianity has accepted that Jesus is God. (Which is not what Jesus meant when he said, “I and my Father are one.”) His words were misinterpreted. Mary Baker Eddy interpreted Jesus, the man, correctly “Science has explained me” and the dragon thought of ecclesiastical despotism (priest craft) did not like this at all! For if Jesus is demoted to being a man, and not God, then the Pope can only be a man, not a God. The red dragon thinks it even worse that this woman is being compared to Jesus! This woman (a half-man) being compared to Jesus Christ, a Son of God? Ridiculous! She also teaches her students that they are the Son of God! Blasphemy to the max! But it is only blasphemy to material philosophies, material theologies, material organizations, and material laws.
So this beast symbolizes domination by Romanism, false fatherhood of a Pope (king or emperor), and malpractice (disobedience to the estoppel clauses in the Church Manual), false motherhood of a Board of Directors. He is like a leopard having spots (blemishes, it has been dragged on the ground) with feet of a bear (powerful, clawing qualities), with the mouth of a lion speaking the Word yet he mixes God’s Word with error; he mixes good with evil. The beast spews forth propaganda (lies) about Mary Baker Eddy and her remnant of loyal followers. It was in 1943 with the “little pamphlet” that a death stroke was given to the beast; however, he recovered from this and today seems even stronger in the Mother Church, located in Boston. Today this Mother Church and the first Mother Church in Rome are operated in the same manner. Many personnel at the Boston Center are Roman Catholics. “If any man hath an ear let him hear.” Be alert! “If any man leadeth into captivity [or an ambush], into captivity [the ambush] he goeth.” (Rev. 13:10)
Romanism will discredit the Woman; it tries to make her become forgotten via its seat of succession “authority from the dragon’s lies.”
Christian Scientists must wake up and realize that holding onto the material organization of church is like trying to hold onto a material body, for they are but one and the same belief. The material body is the tree of good and evil governed by physical science, material law, and materia medica.
On March 12, 2005 I went to Disney on Ice. They performed a portion of the story Peter Pan. In this story you have Peter, the Rock – Christ – Truth. He is a manchild (never grows up). Pan, from Panas, means “immortal” (lives forever). Does this mean that to live forever one must never get old? Perhaps it just means that we need to give up all record keeping of birthdays, anniversaries, etc.
Windy is the child-bride-mother to the Lost Boys. Mary Baker Eddy gives the definition of wind as “That which indicates the might of omnipotence and the movements of God’s spiritual government, encompassing all things.”
There is the ship (church) run by pirates (Pirates loot or rape others. Jacob’s daughter, Dinah, was raped. The Board of Directors raped Mary Baker Eddy’s estate and church.). The head leader is Captain Hook. One definition for hook is “corner.” The vestry of the original edifice is near the corner of the street (where the two rivers meet). Found in the corner “Hook” is the Director’s Room on the first level (in the First Degree). His hand (symbolic of power) is the hook – the hook “captures” Windy and the Lost Boys. He tries to poison Peter Pan, however, Tinkerbell (the warning alarm of Scientific thinking) saves him. This Captain is hounded by the beast, the crocodile (or the hippopotamus – the beast of the sea). The crock has swallowed an alarm clock of time, tick, tock, tick, tock…error knows that its time is limited. In the end, the beast swallows up Hook. In the ice show the crocodile is the size of a man, as it skates around on the ice. At the end of the story this beast has grown into a giant, it was now big enough to swallow the man sized Captain Hook. I liked this part very much as it reminds me of how the serpent in Genesis becomes the red dragon in Revelation.
On the morning of March 15, 2005 I dreamed that I was separated from my family (they had become my Lost Boys). I found I was walking with the beast; I was trying to avoid contact with alligators or crocodiles. I was afraid to make contact with them, but I noticed that they seemed to be even more afraid of me! As I headed back to the building I noticed Mother Croc’s son following me. He seemed afraid, and I was trying to keep from being eaten up by him! I turned the knob on the [Christ] door and entered the building, but he seemed to manage to come in too. He jumped into my arms and he turned into a manchild (a Branch Church). This tells me that when the Board of Directors gives up their domination of the Branch Churches things will be set right.
In the church edifice, at this point, we have the vestry and two door entrances. The vestry is a symbol of a woman’s vagina; one enters into the sanctity (virginity) of the woman’s body (Church) via the doors of Christ. On the north side of the church edifice is the window with the manchild “And a Small Child Shall Lead Them.” Upon his shoulder (a symbol of government) is the branch of Concord Grapes (the city foursquare of divine Science). The animal behavior of the second creation (where Adam names the animals) is no longer in power. The animals can no longer be antagonistic or ravenous when Church becomes the Branch of individual government instead of a controlling beast.
“The individuality created by God is not carnivorous, as witness the millennial estate pictured by Isaiah…And a little child shall lead them.” (S&H 514:19 and 25) Love feels the heart of the lioness as she adopts the calf. This is happening right now. We hear stories where the cat and mouse are friends, and where rabbits and deer, like in Bambi, really do hang out.
At this point of Christ and Christmas is “Christmas Eve.” The giant Christmas tree Matrix ends at the level of Life and Love, because, the crown, the capstone, of the tree (Mother’s Room), where Truth would be located, is decapitated by the top of the picture. Thus, at first it appears that the Great Pyramid Matrix of Truth is not seen in this illustration, for the tree’s crown is missing. However, hidden within the giant tree is a Holy Trinity capstone. The capstone, which the builders have rejected, is seen as an angelic manchild head singing the song of the 144,000. He is located on the level of Principle within the tree, just as the manchild window is on the level of Principle. The Holy Trinity’s bottom left corner has a window (Mary Baker Eddy referred to herself as the window – to correlate with the Woman God-crown Window) and to the bottom right corner is a door (Jesus Christ referred to himself as the door – to correlate with Mary First At the Resurrection Window). As already discussed, the Mother’s Room also has a Holy Trinity (a bay window) of window symbols, as seen in the Foundation Stone of the Minor Pyramid of Principle.
The top branch of the Christmas tree represents the highest idea. This branch is the crown, or the CORNERSTONE. The Christ idea (the BRANCH) was expressed and demonstrated by the two witnesses who stood by and faithfully followed “The Way” of Truth as no others have.
Hidden off to the side of the Christmas tree is a shadow of a man. In front of the tree is a family. There is a mother (Eve) with four daughters (as in a divine calculus). Two are looking to their mother, one daughter (in black clothing, the First Degree) is looking to the father (Adam), while a smaller daughter (in white, the Third Degree) has flowers in her right hand and is headed toward an old woman in a rocking chair (the same chair as in illustrations 7 and 8). There is a matrix in the woman’s lap that I have named the T.A.R.D.I.S. Matrix. There is a young girl, also in white, to her left side. This is the old woman’s inner child, or her spiritual idea.
Behind the girl in white is a boy in black handing a Bible to an old theologian. There are many people in the room. To the right side is a young woman (I feel she is Mary Baker Eddy) sitting in a wheelchair. Behind her is a man (a husband?) who is hitting on another woman sitting at Mary’s side. This, some might say, could depict her life with her second husband, Daniel Patterson. However, I feel that the flirtatious woman is the Babylonish woman and the man is her Board of Directors, pretending to be loyal to Mary Baker Eddy while actually being loyal to the Babylonish woman. Thus, the limitation set forth by the Board of Director’s use of the Church Manual (false motherhood of the Babylonish woman) has crippled the Woman’s power in the world.
I have also read that the woman and man are the parents of the girl in the wheel chair. Perhaps they are discussing what to do about their lame daughter? However, the couple appear to be too young to be the girl’s parents.
To the right corner, by the trio, is a piano, but it is not being played (no secret tones are heard).
In this illustration there is no spiritual light. Electrical light is used to see by. Electricity has to do with material procreation, man believing that he is the creator of man. In reality God, Mind, is the creator.
“So-called mineral, vegetable, and animal substances are no more contingent now on time or material structure than they were when ‘the morning stars sang together.’ Mind made the ‘plant of the field before it was in the earth.’ The periods of spiritual ascension are the days and seasons of Mind’s creation, in which beauty, sublimity, purity, and holiness—yea, the divine nature—appear in man and the universe never to disappear.” (S&H 509:20)
There are other hidden treasures found within the Christ (head) mas[s] (body) tree. There is the talking snake of nerve sense wrapped around the trunk (spinal chord) of the tree. There are dolls depicting personal sense, which represents idolatry – I-doll-a-tree. In the level of Principle is also found a star being orbited by a lighted solitary planet. There are also birdhouses, skeletons, etc. I have even seen Mary Baker Eddy’s face in the tree.
There is also the most noticed Mother Church Train, as I have come to refer to it. This Mother Church Train represents the old world of Europe, with its Romanism, Fascism [found in Germany], Communism, and its One-World-Order. While there is quite a different type of train found in “Christmas Morn.” The woman’s remnant seed are found riding aboard the angelic couple’s train. This train represents the Church Universal and Triumphant of the New World (symbolized by the path taken by our Leader to reach the crown “California” found in the second “The Way”) with its Individual Branch Church government of the foursquare city (Concord Branch – the Manchild).
Proverbs 22:6 reads: “Train up a child [the new man?] in the way he should go: and when he is old, he, will not depart from it.” (Infuses added.)
“Belief involves theories of material hearing, sight, touch, taste, and smell, termed the five senses [symbolized by the five Board of Directors in Boston]. The appetites and passions, sin, sickness, and death follow in the [Mother Church] train of this error of a belief in intelligent matter [material organization of the Christ Mass].” (S&H 526:9)
“If my friends are going to Europe, while I am en route for California, we are not journeying together. We have separate time-tables to consult, different routes to pursue. Our paths have diverged at the very outset, and we have little opportunity to help each other. On the contrary, if my friends pursue my course, we have the same railroad guides, and our mutual interests are identical; or if I take up their line of travel, they help me on, and our companionship may continue.
“Being in sympathy with matter, the worldly man is at the beck and call of error, and will be attracted thitherward. He is like a traveler going westward for a pleasure-trip. The company is alluring and pleasures exciting. After following the sun for six days, he turns east on the seventh, satisfied if he can only imagine himself drifting in the right direction. By-and-by, ashamed of his zigzag course, he would borrow the passport of some wise pilgrim, thinking with the aid of this to find and follow the right road.” (S&H 21:15-22:2)
In other words, if Mary Baker Eddy’s Christian Science Flock is traveling the wide and broad path of Europe (the Old World), while she is headed for California (the path for the crowned fortune of the New World) then they are not journeying together. They have separate timetables to consult, different routes (goals) to pursue. The students’ paths have diverged from Mary Baker Eddy’s path from the very beginning, and they have little chance to help one another. However, if the Flock pursues the same course as their Leader, they have the same railroad guides, and their interests are mutual and identical; likewise if Mary Baker Eddy, their Leader, raises them up from their current scope for activity or movement of travail with its three stakes of physical science, scholastic theology, and materia medica, they are able to help her on with the redemption of mankind, and their companionship, their conscious unity of the Woman’s three measures of meal, our daily bread, will continue.
Being in sympathy with matter, the worldly man is at the beck and call of error, and will be attracted to it. He is one in travail headed toward Science for comfort in matter. The company is alluring and pleasures exciting. After following the Christ-Truth for six days to receive “Christian Science Healing,” he turns away from Mother (going toward Europe on the Seventh Day [in the 20th and 21st Centuries]) satisfied he is doing right if he can only pretend that he is drifting in the right direction toward God. By-and-by, ashamed of his zigzag course, he would appropriate “take or make use of without” her “authority or right” the passport, the authorized permission or authority (of a Church Manual) to get to some undetermined destination of the wiser pilgrim, Mary Baker Eddy—Pastor Emeritus, thinking with the aid of this book to find and follow the right train track.
In the center of the vestry’s ceiling is a seven-pointed star (a Great Light in the Day of Principle). This star represents Jesus Christ, or the masculine idea of Principle, who has been explained by divine Science. However, I also feel that the seven-pointed star represents Mary Baker Eddy, or the feminine idea of Principle, who has been explained as divine Science.
Also in the center of the Vestry is the Immanuel Arch, the five steps leading up to Mother’s Room, the door to Mother’s Room, and the word LOVE. Immanuel means “God with us.” This Arch represents, to me, the Arch of the Covenant and its fulfillment. The five steps symbolize Principle as Mind, Principle as Spirit, Principle as Soul, Principle as Principle, and Principle as Life. The door is the entrance into Mother’s consciousness. It is important that we LOVE unconditionally, like God does. God LOVE’S all that He-She has created, “And behold, it was good [Spirit].” It is also of importance that in this East end we have the word LOVE and on the West end of the Auditorium we have the words, “GOD IS LOVE.” The Christ teaches us to Love while Science teaches us that God is Love.
It is a fact that the man depicted in the original illustration of “The Way” in Christ and Christmas is meant to be Jesus Christ. However, I tend to think that it does not look like the other two illustrations that Jesus is in. Perhaps this Jesus represents generic man or he would point more to the mission of Mary Baker Eddy than to the mission of Christ Jesus because the landscape is that of New England?
The illustration of “The Way” is at the point of Science, the trunk of the tree of life, depicted in this illustration as a garlanded black cross. The cross has a “flock” of birds upon it; some birds are flying around it. Also seen in this illustration is a white dove (divine Science) descending. This dove represents the Bride, as the cross has its crowned Bride. In the account of Noah’s Ark a black raven, which represents evil as a talking animal, is sent forth. No good comes from this bird being sent forth into the world. Then Noah sends forth a white dove three times. These three times represent the coming of Christ Jesus, Mary Baker Eddy with divine Science, and the world’s acceptance of the two witnesses. The first time the Christ dove is sent forth on the Fifth Day into gross materiality, the First Degree. After the dove is sent forth a second time (for the second advent of Christ in the Sixth Day) it returns with the olive branch of divine Science to tired humanity, the Second Degree. Even though the first “The Way” illustration shows a man’s ascension, it shows the bride descending down toward the flock of birds. This means that the first “The Way” points to the second advent of Christ Science.
The third time that Noah sent out the dove it never returned to the ark (ship or church) for safety. This is a prophecy of our time, the Seventh Day when the independent Christian Scientist has no need for material organization (the Ark Church). This is when the spiritual appearing of the Christ is universal and generic, it is the Third Degree. We feel safe to leave the safety provided by the walls of church organization. We feel safe because the angel of Revelation 10 (Mary Baker Eddy’s manhood) has fulfilled the Arch of the Covenant. We understand that “God is with us.”
In the sky, around the man, are faces of the Christ Remnant.
The shape of this illustration, which resembles a female breast, represents the Motherhood of God, the Shaddai Father-Mother God. Shad means “woman’s breast” and “mountain” which is a masculine concept of strength.
As seen above, the shape also lends itself to the pyramid.
I have also read that this illustration’s shape represents a loaf of bread. The bread, that which was prepared by the woman, with the three measures of leavened wheat.
On the other wall of the vestry are two windows of “The Woman of Samaria” and “Angel With the Little Book.” The angel being Michael with the little book of Science; his feet of dominion are over the sea and the earth (the red dragon’s two beasts). While “The Woman of Sa-mary-a” again recognizes the Christ Messiah as Christ Jesus, she also recognizes the Christ Messiah’s second appearance of Christ Science. Behind Jesus Christ and the woman is another woman coming to draw up water (spiritual teachings about the woman God-crowned) from the well. I feel that these two women represent the two woman God-crown advents. Mary Baker Eddy is the Woman of Samaria and Martha is the other woman. The angel of Revelation 10 is also Mary Baker Eddy. The rainbow (goddess Iris) is an earlier typification of the woman God-crown.
The second illustration of “The Way” is seen directly above. This time, however, there are two crosses and two crowns. The first cross is completely black. It represents the church edifice (which represents the wilderness mother’s mission) in Boston under the domination of ecclesiastical despotism, for it is very black (in the “First Degree: Depravity”).
There can be no spiritual progress when we dwell on the crucifixion thought (like St. Paul did). We must look to the light of resurrection (the crowned cross) and ascension (the crown).
The crowned cross, floating above the ground, is symbolic of the woman God-crowned mission. This cross is the same cross as seen in the first illustration of “The Way.” It has the same bird formation in the second illustration of “The Way,” but the white dove (second advent of Christ) is closer to the cross than before. This crowned cross is uplifted; it floats in the air upon the spiritual path of light. It represents the cross (Church Edifice) and crown (Extension) in Boston, which represents the human and divine coincidence. It is speaking of Mary Baker Eddy as the Great Light of Principle, for the Woman of Samaria has recognized the second coming of the Messiah. And with this second coming of the dove, which is divine Science, the first coming of Christ is explained via divine Science, the dove.
To the left of the black cross is the red dragon (bushes) whispering in the ear of the congregation (the black cross) false teachings about the woman God-crowned. The tail of this old dragon is also a tomb and you can see spirits rising up from the grave. If you look closely at the illustration of the second “The Way” you will see a mother bear and cub. The Draco Constellation (the dragon) is between Ursa Minor and Ursa Major. The red dragon midwife attempts to come between the Mother Bear (Woman God-crowned) and the Little Bear (Manchild).
It is the Big Dipper Constellation (which represents Christianity as Science), part of Ursa Major, which points toward the Word as the Word, where we find the Open Bible (symbolized in “Window of the Open Book”). Thus the Great Bear gives us our “bearings” on which gate to begin with in Science’s system of the divine calculus. “Window of the Open Book” derives its name from the hub of its wheel where we see the Christian Science textbook open, with the name of Reverend Mary Baker Eddy.
“He alone ascends the hill of Christian Science [which is depicted in this illustration of “The Way”] who follows Christ, the spiritual idea who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Whatever obstructs this way, causing mortals to stumble, fall or faint, Divine Love will remove, and uplift the fallen and strengthen the weak, if only they will forsake their earth weights, and ‘leave behind those things that are behind, and reach forward to those that are before.’ Then, loving God supremely, and their neighbor as themselves, they will safely bear the cross up the hill of Science.”
We can also see the black cross, the crowned cross, and the crown as the three degrees found on pages 115-116 of the textbook. The black cross is within the First Degree of depravity where the physical realm dominates persona. This is unreality, the opposite of Truth. The crowned cross is a coincidence of the human (cross) and the divine (crown) of the Second Degree where evil beliefs begin to disappear. Here you find the transitional qualities of morality. Finally, the crown represents the Third Degree of understanding the spiritual world that is reality, Truth.
Humanity must not be confused with the physical. Humanity reveals the elements of ascending thought and goodness as the First Degree beliefs evaporate before the morning beams of reality, Truth.
The crown is of the Third Degree, spiritual understanding. When Mary Baker Eddy spoke to the artist who drew the illustration of Christ and Christmas she said, “Now I suggest this picture for you to draw that possesses my thought of ‘The Way’…Make the crown still fainter in form [from the crosses] but distinct. Put the top of it in line with the top of the plate, thus giving the thought that all matter disappears with the crown or crowned thought.” This is different from the missing crown of the Christmas tree in “Christmas Eve.” In the fourth illustration the crown represents the cornerstone of the Christ Truth of Mother’s crowned consciousness that was rejected by the builders. These builders were her own congregation, the Christ-mass who were building The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and rejected the cornerstone—needed reminding of her place in Bible prophecy—thus Christ and Christmas was published on Dec. 2, 1893.
In “The Way” the crown represents the “crowned thought of our Leader’s spiritual understanding.” It is the path she took to the Holy Land (California), while the Israelites wandering in the desert wished to head back toward Egypt (today it is Europe, the old church of organized Romanism [ecclesiastical despotism] and one world order [domination] like we have with a United Nations).
To the right of the black cross is a pond. There is a lion by the pond and cattle upon the hillside (as mentioned in the textbook).
One of the clouds is the face of a woman.
“Genesis i. 14. And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of heaven, to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:
“This text gives the idea of the rarefaction of thought as it ascends higher.” (S&H 509:15)
Rarefaction is defined as “to expand or enlarge without adding anything.” This is the process of leaven, thus, the Fourth Day of Principle must give us a higher meaning of the Second Day of Spirit where “Christ Healing” takes place. When the leavening process ascends higher within a practitioner’s consciousness “Christian Science Healing” takes place.
These lights represent the light of Truth (Christ), the understanding that comes to man. Because the text tells us the lights are to function as signs, seasons, days, and years, which are all human concepts, then the lights must be manifested humanly. Signs are symbols, this is what I do all the time, I explain symbols. Seasons represent the divine calculus. There are the Seven Days (seven synonymous terms for God). Years spiritually translated – “One day is with the Lord as a thousand years.” (II Peter iii.8.)
“Day. The irradiance of Life; light, the spiritual idea of Truth and Love.
“‘And the evening and the morning were the first day.’ (Genesis i. 5.) The objects of time and sense disappear in the illumination of spiritual understanding, and Mind measures time according to the good that is unfolded. This unfolding is God’s day, and ‘there shall be no night there.’” (S&H 581:1-8)
Thus, the years are the seven ages of the Bible (Days 1-5) and Christian Science (Days 6 & 7). Mary Baker Eddy defines “year” as: “One moment of divine consciousness, or the spiritual understanding of Life and Love, is a foretaste of eternity. This exalted view, obtained and retained when the Science of being is understood, would bridge over with life discerned spiritually the interval of death, and man would be in the full consciousness of his immortality and eternal harmony, where sin, sickness, and death are unknown. Time is a mortal thought, the divisor of which is the solar year. Eternity is God’s measurement of Soul-filled years.” (S&H 598:23-299:2)
Mary Baker Eddy tells us, “Truth and Love enlighten the understanding, in whose ‘light shall we see light,’ and this illumination is reflected spiritually by all who walk in light [“The Way”] and turn away from a false material sense [darkness].” (S&H 510:9)
Jesus said that he was the light of the world, as he brought the heavenly Christ-light of Christianity to the world. Likewise, Mary Baker Eddy brought Christian Science to the world. Everyone who travels (on the same train of thought) in “The Way” that the two great lights traveled will be enlightened in their reflected spiritual illumination; those who follow become the prophet “stars.”
“The sun [a Daystar], giving light and heat to the earth, is a figure of divine Life and Love, enlightening and sustaining the universe. The ‘tree of life’ is significant of eternal reality or being. The ‘tree of knowledge’ typifies unreality. The testimony of the serpent is significant of the illusion of error, of the false claims that misrepresent God, good. Sin, sickness, and death have no record in the Elohistic introduction of Genesis, in which God creates the heavens, earth, and man. Until that which contradicts the truth of being enters into the arena, evil has no history, and evil is brought into view only as the unreal in contradistinction to the real and eternal.” (S&H 538:11) The first sentence of this paragraph relates Mary Baker Eddy to the Daystar sun because she says, “The ideal woman corresponds to Life and to Love.” (S&H 517:10) The moon reflects the sun’s light just as Christianity reflects the light of Christian Science (the greater light that brings the day of the Lord [to Christians this day of the Sabbath takes place on SUN-day). Malachi prophesied of the second coming of Christ as the “Sun of righteousness.”
The stars are “spiritual seers” or “prophets” (of old and of new, or our time). These stars shed the brilliance of Christian Science into the darkness of material sense. These stars are also “the lamps in the spiritual heavens of the age, which show the workings of the spiritual idea by healing the sick and the sinning, and by manifesting the light which shines ‘unto the perfect day’ as the night of materialism [when the lesser light ruled] wanes [surrenders its ruler ship, gives up materially organized church].” (S&H 562:17) “These are the stars in the woman’s crown or rejoicing.” (S&H 562:16-17)
The two great lights rule over “the successive appearing of God’s ideas.”
Pilot asked Jesus, “Art thou a king then?”
The Master replied, “Thou sayest that I am a king [ruling light].” Jesus did not deny that he was a king. He continues, “To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth.” As the “light of the world” and as a “king,” he is then one of the two great lights in Genesis.
The woman God-crowned is identified, because of her crown, with the heavenly kingdom, signifying she is a ruler. As seen in the second “The Way” there is the crown, not seen as the person of Mary Baker Eddy but to represent who she came to earth to manifest in the human and divine coincidence. How many Christian Scientists apply Mary Baker Eddy’s definition of Christ to her mission on Earth? “The divine manifestation of God, which comes to the flesh to destroy incarnate error.”
The Bible’s Micah 5:3 explains that the Bethlehem babe’s rule continued “until the time that she which travaileth has brought forth.” The woman in travail is the woman clothed with the sun, a God-crowned Mother.

In the Church Manual, on page 21, the list of officers is given. The offices, or seven heads, follow the Christianity order of the seven synonyms – Principle, Mind, Soul, Spirit, Life, Truth, and Love.
On my matrix of Jacob’s Ladder (which looks like a pyramid [no surprise]), I include Jacob’s daughter, his 11th child. She is Leah’s seventh (Love) child. On the pyramid structure Dinah is on the same level as Levi. Thus, while Levi represents false fatherhood, Dinah represents false motherhood. This is not to say that Dinah was really evil, rather Levi and Simeon, her two ecclesiastical brothers dominated her.
The word “Petra” is feminine. This is interesting when thought about, for Jesus, in using the feminine form of Peter was making a statement that his church would be built (in a future time) upon the recognition of the Christ through womanhood, and it would be at this time that God’s motherhood would be revealed, uncovered, or discovered.

The Christian Science Standard (the Endtime Center in Denver, Colorado) brought mentioned the difference between the man and two Jesus illustrations. However, in James F. Gilman’s book Recollections of Mary Baker Eddy it is made clear that the man is Jesus.
“Samaria, watcher; guard; watch post; watch height; watch mountain.” (from the Metaphysical Bible Dictionary). The word martyr means: “witness.” A witness is a watcher. This description fits Mary Baker Eddy perfectly!
In Greek mythology Hera turns Callisto, a nymph “bride,” into a she-bear. Callisto later becomes the Great Bear, and her son becomes the Minor (Little) Bear. In Revelation 6 the white horseman is symbolic of the Archer – Sagittarius. Is it plausible, then, that this woman God-crowned “Bride of Christ” would represent Callisto and Mary Baker Eddy understood this very point?
